In addition to a proficiency in Horizontal Directional Drilling, Arogen has expertise in a range of other trenchless techniques suited to differing ground types and physical locations.

Our Trenchless Techniques include:

Rock Drilling

Arogen is capable of servicing all surface types. Our equipment is capable of drilling rock hardness in excess of 50 MPA.
Our process involves the use of high-pressure air ensuring a cleaner work environment, reduced cost and minimal impact on the surrounding environment.

Grundomat Boring and Bed Boring

Grundomat boring, bed boring and micro-tunnelling techniques make it possible to utilise trenchless technology in space-constricted conditions.

Grundomat Boring is characterised by its pneumatic piercing abilities, allowing horizontal bores to be implemented where operating space is minimal. It is ideal in industries such as water, sewer, gas and communications. Compressed air repeatedly propels the machinery forward, while pulling the necessary pipe materials.

Bed boring is a trenchless technology providing shorter shots than more common horizontal directional drilling techniques. The small size of our bed boring equipment makes it suitable for use in confined spaces, or where disruption to the built environment must be minimal.
Arogen’s micro-tunnelling technique makes it possible to deliver small-diameter tunnels through the use of remotely operated specialised equipment. Our micro-tunnelling equipment is remotely controlled from the surface and allows for a high level of accuracy.

Soil Sampling

In order to measure sub surface soil conditions for geotechnical review it is necessary to disturb the existing environment with some form of subsurface exploration. Trenchless techniques are ideal for obtaining soil samples as it allows minimal environmental impact while maintaining full control over the location the samples are taken from, including depth and position.
