Future Major Industry Projects

Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan – Federal Government

The Federal Government’s Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan includes 8 Rail Projects in NSW, with 6 of these projects located in the Hunter Valley Region.  A major project already underway is the Minimbah Bank - Third Rail Line Project.  Due for completion in 2012, this major infrastructure project involves both State and Federal Governments and is being implemented by the Australian Rail Track Corporation through the recently formed Hunter 8 Alliance.
